Session description: “ABC’s of Internet Governance” session is aiming to provide better understanding of what Internet Governance is, among all participants by:

  • explaining the term “Internet Governance”

(how Internet Governance is perceived by stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina; when did it appear and its definition, IG explained by different stakeholders in the panel with experience in Internet Governance spaces on regional and global lever)

  • key principles of Internet Governance such as: multistakeholderism, openness, inclusiveness, transparency, accountability
  • Defining key actors of Internet Governance and recognising who they are in Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Overview of several important organisations and processes in the Internet Governance ecosystem (IGF, ICANN, CoE, RIPE)

The goal is to continue the dialogue on internet governance at the national level and highlight the importance of taking these discussions global through the regional forums. In addtion we will have the chance to hear experiences from guests from the region (Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria) on the importance of getting involved in regional and global levels. What were/ are their challenges and motivations? Short intro by panelists followed by discussion among all participants (Q&A)
